Typical BIM360 ACC + Deep Space Project Setup

How to set up a typical Autodesk Construction Cloud with Deep Space integration

 Below we describe a typical workflow involving Revit 2022 or newer, ACC and Deep Space.


STEP 1 - Setup BIM360 or ACC hub:

  1. Create BIM360 site
  2. Enable Docs (at least)
  3. Create folders and initiate RVTs onto Docs

STEP 2 - Create Deep Space project and connect to ACC:

  1. Create the Deep Space Project. You can do this yourself if you have a multi-project pack.
  2. Connect Deep Space Forge integration. See here.
  3. Ensure Project Home is active and Refreshed.
  4. Access Project Home and trigger a Forge Sync.
  5. Refresh the Files App to check Federation Status

If you want to update Project information, follow these guides:

STEP 3 - Build your Federated Model Automatically:

  1. Link 1 model manually to Federated Model and Acquire Coordinates. Save / Sync with Central. This means you are now ready to link other models by Shared Coordinates.
  2. Connect the Federated Model to your Project using Deep Space Configure. You don't need to Sync with Deep Space yet.

  3. Run the Prerequisite steps (Preflight) for Deep Space automation from here.
  4. Use the Analytics button on Deep Space ribbon in the Federated model to determine Schema Name and Project ID, then set those values in the Preflight "Global Parameters".
  5. After setting Global Parameters in the Federated Model, you can run "DeepSpaceLinker" automation. You may be challenged to pick the Coordinate system if multiple are available:

    (Note: for non ACC projects, Deep Space offers a DeepSpaceLinker automation that will run in completely Local mode)
  6. Sync your Federated Model with Central once the auto-linking is completed.
  7. Press Deep Space Sync, and Configure models if necessary. This registers those models to the Deep Space cloud. Usually this will happen automatically, but you may need to configure Discipline field correctly.


  • You can use extracted RVT Links to prepopulate Source Files like
    "INSERT IGNORE INTO SourceFiles (`Projectid_projects_def`,`FileName`)
    SELECT DISTINCT 1,RvtTypeName FROM workspace.federatedelements WHERE RvtCategory='RVT Links'"
  • You can use a exported Document list (such as from BIM 360) to prepopulate this also

STEP 4 - Sync your Revit data to Deep Space:

  1. Open the Federated Model
  2. Sync with Deep Space
  3. optional: Set Deep Space Scheduler.
  4. optional: Load the list of Spatial Categories and run Spatial Detection

STEP 5 - Use Model Audit to Auto Configure Teams:

The first time you refresh the Model Audit dataset, your project will auto-configure various things including Deep Space Teams.

STEP 6 - Adjust any configurations as necessary

You can use DS Command for general configuration.

For Model Audit, you probably want to:

STEP 7 - Email Logging

Log any important emails right to your Deep Space project using our email integration.

STEP 8 - Enable Additional Integrations

For example, if using Revizto:

  1. Create Revizto Project
  2. Export Models / Sheets to Revizto
  3. Load Demo Stamps
  4. Start Creating Issues
  5. Enable Revizto Coordination integration.
  6. Refresh the Coordination App in Deep Space

You can also enable other integrations including:

  • ArcGIS
  • dRofus
  • Revizto API
  • Excel
