Level Calculations

Level calculations take place in a cascading fashion. Parameters as well as geometric calculations are used.

This is the order of level detection:

  • Parameters

  • Legacy 'Project Levels' method (generally no longer used)

  • Geometric calculation based on Control Model

When your project has multiple Buildings on the same site, you will need to configure each File to belong to a specific Building.

However, Deep Space does not yet support Geometric calculation of levels on multi-Building projects.

Notes related to Legacy Configuration of Element Browser below:

It is simple to use our Element Browser to investigate the quantities in your model:

  1. Open the Element Browser Power BI dashboard template (provided to you via email)

  2. In Power BI, click on Transform data - Edit parameters

  3. Set:
    app_name = your Workspace Name
    project_id = project ID number
    server_site_address = leave set as per the default

    Note: You can find your app_name and project_id by clicking on the Analytics button on the Deep Space ribbon in Revit

  4. Press Refresh in Power BI to get your data for analysis. The dashboard and all visuals will refresh.
