How to use the Deep Space LOI Report App

Deep Space provides both simple and advanced LOI ( Level of Information ) checking and automation.

The LOI Report App is our simplest and fastest App for checking your model LOI status.

Model Types Supported

  • Revit

  • IFC

Data Loaded

  • Revit Elements

  • IFC Elements

  • Revit Parameters (where name listed in Project Parameters)

  • IFC Parameters (where name listed in Project Parameters)

Interpreting Results

The following table shows the meaning of terms used on LOI Report App:

Term

Meaning

SP GUID

Shared Parameter GUID - this is the way Revit stores and identifies Shared Parameters internally

Blank

Does not have data populated

Has Data

The parameter contains values

When reading the dashboard, sometimes two terms are included in a group, like
"Blank and Incorrect SP GUID"

Configuration

Usually it should be sufficient to set your Parameter Configuration as described here:

Ensure you have Applied the Master Parameter Set to your Project in DS Command:

Parameter Settings

  • Set "Include in Simple LOI" = Yes (ticked) to show on LOI Report

  • For merged parameters, set "Contains Merged Parameters" = Yes

  • For a project-wide unique type parameter, set "Unique Classifying Parameter" = Yes
