How to Configure DS Site Admin Functionality with Deep Space

The article explains how to generate and configure an API key to enable admin-level integration between your DS Site Channel and the Deep Space platform.

  • Note: You must be an `admin` member in your DS Site Channel
  1. Log in to your DS Site Channel
  2. Navigate to Admin > Advanced
  3. Click ‘Add’ next to API KEYS
  4. Set the Name to something that will help you remember the purpose of the key like ‘Deep Space Admin Integration’. Set the role to ‘Administrator’
    Note: If you set a different role, some operations in Deep Space will not be available
  5. When you have created the key, click ‘View’ and then copy the value. Keep this value private and do not share anywhere except for Deep Space
  6. Now, go to Deep Space platform and navigate to the ‘Company Management’ console. If you do not have access to this, please contact support.
  7. In the company management console, navigate to ‘Integrations’ then click ‘Configure’ on DS Site Admin Functionality
  8. Fill out the required values, keep the API Key Type as ‘Bearer’, paste in your copied API Key, and supply the channel alias. If you do not know the channel alias, you can look at the URL in DS Site from when you created the key

  9. Click ‘Save Configuration’

This will securely store your API Key in Deep Space platform, allowing Deep Space to performadmin operations and automations within your DS Site Channel.

 

If you ever remove the key in your DS Site Channel, this will break the integration and you will need to start over.
