Commenting on Model Audit via Deep Space Actions

The Deep Space Model Audit App now lets users add interactive comments directly to compliance report line items using Deep Space Actions. Comments are linked to specific audit categories and disciplines, included in the report table, and visible after a brief refresh. This streamlined process supports attachments, multiple comments, and works with existing actions or newly created ones.

The Deep Space Model Audit App includes a Compliance Report page. You can use Deep Space Actions to add interactivity to your compliance report and allow team members to add comments against specific discipline line items. These comments will then be included in the table so you can export them.

  • This method supersedes the legacy commenting feature via DS Command

  1. Navigate to Model Audit > Report or if enabled for your project, the custom Execution Plan Compliance app

  2. On the Execution Plan Compliance Report page, open the Actions Panel and enable ‘Show Associations’. Optionally, you can clear the default ‘Assigned To Me’ filter to view all Actions

  3. When you click on a row in the Report table, you will see the associated Audit Category & Discipline in the Actions Panel. This will filter the list of actions and show any actions related to that line item, if they exist.

  4. From here, you can either click on an existing action (skip to step 5) or create a new action. You can choose to make any type of action, and fill in the details like assignee, description as relevant. The tooltip will show which audit category & discipline the action will be linked to.

  5. Once you’ve created an action (or with an existing action), you then simply add your comment. Note – at this point you can also add attachments, however only the comment text will appear in the Model Audit app

  6. After adding a comment, a refresh of the Model Audit app is automatically triggered. It will take a few minutes to refresh, longer in cases of large datasets. To view the updated report, you must refresh your page. You will then be able to see the comment text included in the table.

This is a new feature – please report any bugs to the Deep Space team, including screenshots where possible. Thank you! 🚀

    Notes:

    • The actions commenting method is compatible with legacy commenting via DS Command. If both comments exist, they will both show in the report separated by ‘---’
    • If multiple comments exist on actions linked to a model audit line item, they will all show, separated by ‘---’
    • In cases where there are multiple users commenting simultaneously, only a single app refresh will occur triggered by the first comment. If any subsequent comments are added during a refresh, they may not show until the following refresh.
    • The comment transferring only applies when an action is associated both with an Audit Category and a Discipline
    • Instead of creating a new action, you can also attach the model audit association to an existing action via the ‘Add Association’ method. This will then act the same way with transferring comments to the Model Audit report
